ABBOTT AND COSTELLO’S "WHO’S BEEN VACCINATED"?

Dear Members and Friends of Mozuud,

These last few days I have been vacillating as regards the kind of Jewish New Year’s message I should send out to our many Jewish friends. Being Jewish myself, I have, like many of you, received many New Year wishes from many organizations who have been very busy and mostly doing good things this last year. And of course, who wouldn’t want to have a healthy, happy and sweet year in 5782!

But there is more to say and wish for – and work for – on so many different fronts in our society. Jew hatred is crawling out from under the rocks where it hibernated for so long, the propaganda campaign against Israel has gained such strength that Hamas is now seen as the victim even when without provocation it fires 3000 rockets at Israel’s civilian population, and Islamist propaganda is knowingly and purposely conflating Jews and Israel to reduce support for Israel from the Jewish Diaspora which it now also feels free to terrorize. Meanwhile, the pandemic is justifying cancel culture for anyone who even intelligently disagrees with Drs. Fauci and Tam; and the politicians, even our Conservative politicians, are delighted to have a new cudgel to strike down dissident voices.

In addition, the retreat from Afghanistan by the world’s greatest power in human history must raise the question – are American political and military leaders the stupidest humans ever to walk the planet, or was the debacle perhaps planned that way by those who want to bring America down? While it’s cognitively dissonant to think that there are Americans who want to destroy America, it’s not impossible. There seem to be Israelis who are similarly bent on destroying Israel – led by a major Israeli newspaper. In Canada our newspapers have been bought off with $60 million of “grants” from the Trudeau gov’t. Why be surprised!

Meanwhile, the universities have been taken over by “Critical race theory”; “Intersectionality” is instructing our young people that they should not be judged by the quality of their character, but by how many minorities they “intersect” with or belong to; “equality of opportunity” is no longer adequate for the new socialist wannabees – it is “equity of outcome” that we are told now needs to be the goal. Western governments are tripping over themselves to bring in “undocumented immigrants”, once referred to as “illegal aliens”, but no more! Of course, who will these undocumented immigrants vote for? You only get one guess!

So that is where we find ourselves. There is after all work to do in 5782!
